Session 1: Adding Content to Microsoft Office SharePoint Made Easy – Presented by Job Kitching and Rick Parke of KnowledgeLake.
Job and Rick will discuss how to extend the native capabilities of SharePoint by allowing users to have the ability to easily add content of mission critical documents to the Microsoft Office SharePoint sites. We will also discuss that once the content is captured how to make it easy for end-users to find the documents quickly.
Session 2: Automate Business Processes with SharePoint and K2 – Presented by Brandon Brown
In this session Brandon will provide a technical overview of where SharePoint workflow leaves off and how K2 can extend SharePoint to automate business critical applications. The following topics will be covered:
- Configuration of complex business processes in visual, drag and drop K2 designer
- Management of tasks / work items, escalation and delegation logic
- Dashboard reporting of both process metrics and data coming from forms and back end systems
- Automated provisioning of SharePoint sites, managing user security rights, and content across SharePoint site collections
Session 3: Managing 3rd Party Newsfeeds and Building an Acronym Lookup Tool – Presented by Travis Clayton from Microsoft Enterprise Services
During this session Travis will demonstrate several great development techniques to deliver real world solutions to your organization.
Using SharePoint Designer Travis will create an enterprise wide Acronym lookup tool to make it easier to publish and find common acronyms across your company Utilizing custom application pages and Linq Travis will demonstrate how to manage and display newsfeeds from several external sources.
